All races are equal. We are all the same the eyes of God. Our blood is all red. Because this belief hasn't been adhered to countless times throughout history and still isn't today, and because its suspension has disastrous results (ex. slavery, the Holocaust), it is now passionately stated ad nauseum, as it should be, to help guard against further violence.
However, the passions surrounding the truth of this belief bleed over into culture, and people, equating race with culture, believe that all cultures are equal. But all cultures are not equal. Cultures are ideas and values that people hold, and some ideas and values are better than others. It is culture, not geographic circumstance, which enabled the West to become powerful and produce science, technology, philosophy, law, and living standards that surpassed the rest of the world. And that culture is one that stressed reason, liberty, and the individual.
