Ben Franklin Poster
I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it.
Posters are available in different sizes and paper types (ex. matte, semi-gloss). Frames are available.
About this poster:
This was written by Franklin in a 1776 article titled "On the Price if Corn and Management of the Poor". Contrast the attitude he expressed with that of the modern welfare state. Whereas both seek to help the poor, only one succeeds. The welfare state destroys the incentives and character of many people, and in doing so, keeps them permanently in poverty. If only Lyndon Johnson had heeded this advice.
